The second final, also known as the Grand Finale, did not take long to arrive. Two days later, on Thursday, a day filled with immense sadness for the Commonwealth, the two finalists met again on the battlefield under my ever-watchful and strict eye. Omoomow versus Reilowtl, a clash of the titans, a battle to the death, for the crown, for honour, for the prestigious Codenames Cup... And it all started with Omer and Willow Maid competing as Spymasters once more. Spectators from far and wide had come to watch the epic finale of this thrilling Tournament and they were certainly not disappointed. The first round proved to be strong for both teams, the players picking the correct words one after the other. Purple and gold fought hard to dominate the board and up until the very end, no neutral words had made an appearance. Reilowtl were now working on their last clue, trying to decipher the meaning behind their Spymaster's words... and it was at that moment when the first neutral word appeared. That was the beginning of the end and shortly after, Omoomow won the first round. The second round started off strong, with Lottie and Willow going toe to toe once more. With Lottie picking a Divination clue that made this neutral's heart sing and with Willow cleverly dancing between meanings, it was an exciting match to observe as both teams browsed through their options carefully before taking a guess. We even saw a moment of strong camaraderie when Omoomow, following a misclick that ended up revealing one of their words prematurely, refrained from selecting their final word and ending the match. Their reasoning? While they were already aware of which word they would be going after, their given clue would have never led them there without their prior knowledge. A very touching moment, dear readers, that showed everyone what this Tournament is all about: Sportsmanship, fairness and friendship. In the end, their fairness was rewarded as they managed to win the second round as well while Reilowtl had one word left. With Omoomow already cheering and celebrating, the third round commenced, where Nooms and Rei took up the Spymaster mantle. Both teams brought out the big guns and selected strong clues from the very beginning, which didn't fail to also raise several eyebrows. 😄  The last round came to a much quicker end than many anticipated, however, when a new clue given by Reiluna made her team wonder and question what they knew. In the end, their intuition led them astray and when their clicked word turned black, it was all over... Omoomow won the final round of this match, of this Tournament, and were triumphantly crowned the victors. Two intense matches, six amazing players, one Cup... A Cup that now has "Omoomow" written on it in gold letters. Congratulations to our first-place winners and a special congratulations to Reilowtl, who claimed second place on the Codenames Tournament podium!! 😄
