The Tournament started with a call to arms by our dear Headmistress Memrah (or Christiana or C, take your pick, really!), who came forth requesting eager volunteers to take up the daunting role of the Codenames Neutral. After some enthusiastic rearrangements, a formidable team of neutrals was formed and the Tournament was ready to begin! We started with the Round Robins, where each team was called to play a match with each of the five others so an initial ranking could be formed for the Bracket Rounds. A total of fifteen matches were played, all marked by their own shenanigans and humorous instances until a fully-fledged double-elimination (meaning that a team had to lose twice to be eliminated from the Tournament) Bracket was formed. The battles between the teams as they moved across the Winner's and Loser's Bracket were fierce and the results were often both comical and tragic as we saw some of our favourite teams be eliminated and some others reign supreme through it all. The neutrals, armed with The Speech™ (created by yours truly~) and a variety of weapons, including the whimsical Cuckoo Timer, braved through the matches one by one until now, almost a full mH year and ten matches later, only the Grand Finale remains...
