Summertime is almost over and that means the Hogwarts Express is right around the corner! A short train ride is all that stands between you and your new classes where you’ll study and learn all things magical. How exciting! But why wait to arrive to Hogwarts to partake in the excitement? As ever, I’m excited to share with you ways to liven up your life, and this edition stars, the Hogwarts train! Gather ‘round so we can chat about your ticket to ride…
1. The last few summer parties have you tired and worn out? That’s OK! Here’s how to refresh yourself on the way to school. Take a face mask and put it on while you play some calming music to soak up the last few moments of summer in style. Once you arrive, casually forget to remove the face mask and it becomes a fun, talking point with whomever you meet.
2. Got a little trickster angst and need to blow off steam? I got you, boo. Literally… When the trolly witch comes around the corner and gets just out of reach, JUMP out from behind the door and scream at the top of your lungs to give her a good ol’ fashioned fright. If you complete this task well, you might find yourself into some sweet treasures.
3. Sometimes prefects like to pretend they’re better than the rest of you, but never to fear, here’s how you deal with them this year. Gain the trust of a fellow, former non-student head leader turned student leader, as they are the easiest to sway. Have them sneak you into front compartment to drop a couple dung bombs and skedaddle! That way, when the prefects do arrive… well, I’m sure the picture is laid out perfectly.

4. Lastly, if you’re really feeling like getting some housepoints before you arrive to school, pretend to read a textbook in front of a professor. By pretend, I mean, stuff a Quibbler into the cracks and hold the textbook up in front of your face. The professor will praise you and may even hand you some housepoints if it’s their specific subject, but they’ll never know… you’re really filling your head with this trifle.
Upon arriving to school, take in the surroundings and the sounds, I’m sure you’ll be excited and want to get a jump start on your education. Afterall, it’s only seven years before you’re dropped out into the real world where everyone surely suffers. As always, keep your friends close but not that close.
