This first match started in Week 3 with clear skies. As the bludgers and snitch make their escape from the box, Madam Hooch throws up the quaffle and the game begins! Jenna Rae draws first blood for Slytherdor as she reaches out for the quaffle first. However, it slips right out of her hands as she hasn’t read the rules for this year yet! Luckily, headlesghost (Martha) is right behind her and grabs it for her instead. She doesn’t hold onto it for long though, as Rowena Riddle sneaks up from behind to tackle Martha and steal the quaffle. She’s able to get a shot off, but Raspyriel (Cynthia) has her eye on the ball and catches it before it can make its way through the hoops. Meanwhile, bludgers keep flying back and forth between the different players, with nobody getting hit.

Martha is quick to grab the rebound but collides with Nooms as the quaffle goes into freefall. Anthony Williams quickly grabs the falling ball before passing it off to Jenna Rae. She gets the shot off, but Reyna Walles is keeping a vigilant eye as she catches the quaffle and throws it back to her team. Rowena grabs it and manages to dodge the Slytherdors long enough to get her own shot in. Once again, Cynthia sees exactly where Rowena is aiming and passes the ball back to her teammates. It eventually lands in Jenna's hands as the first mid-match snitch is released, sending Annabeth Granger and Reiluna on a hunt. Before Jenna gets too far, Omer swoops in and blocks her shot as both seekers return, with Annabeth having a slight time advantage over Reiluna. However, these Keepers have been on their A-game this match as once again the ball is kept from entering the hoops.

This back-and-forth of the quaffle keeps happening before Omer is able to get another shot off and the second mid-match snitch makes an appearance! Once again, no scoring occurs as the seekers come back, with Reiluna holding the snitch and Annabeth looking dazed and confused. As Martha catches the ball tossed out by Cynthia, she holds onto it long enough to make another shot for her own team. As this occurs, the snitch makes its final mid-match appearance! The Keepers’ luck must have run out as Slytherdor scores its first goal for the match. Eventually, Reiluna comes back with the snitch, while Annabeth seems to still be looking in all the wrong places. As the beaters spread chaos on the pitch, the final snitch appears, sending the seekers on their final hunt! Eventually, Reiluna returns with the snitch, making Slytherdor the winner of the first match of the season!
