A New Year, Old Issues

Like most active members on mH, I am participating in the DIMC Murder Mystery this year. However, it/s been kind of boring. I'm not saying that the organizers should make it harder! Because those mini-challenges are plenty stressful, thank you very much. Just.... I was bored. And when I'm bored, I tend to get into trouble. Weeeellll, trouble tends to find me. :D

With that in mind, I --uh-- decided to take a little detour. :D A few days ago, I was the lone person to take the long and very, very boring through the Ministry of Magic back to the Hangars to return my clues to safety... and let's just say that I did not go straight there and back. I may have taken a small side trip to investigate the Department of Transportation.

 

I mean, Professor Jenna has been doing a lot of serious PR and advertising trying to get alumni to buy a car. She's introduced a whole new payment plan (which you don't even have for houses :O) and there are so many pretty cars in that shop, Caractus' Cars. I mean, I haven't bought my own car, but I have done a lot of window shopping. I've even got a full foot of parchment where I worked out the IDEAL stats for my car and the best bonus features to have equipped. I have to say, though... I was most curious to delve into some top secret racetrack plans in the DMT.

Because while there is a whole lotta information on the kind of car you can get, there's not much on the type of racetracks out there. The My Way Highway hasn't had much activity since the move to jcink and I, for one, am very interested in what could happen. So, using the sleuthing skills that the DIMC had so considerately helped me hone in this murder investigation, I snuck into the DMT.

Well, I mean, I was just passing by on my way to the Hangars and I happened

to notice that one of the so-called high-security doors could be opened with a 

very simple "Alohamora". That being said, I did fill out one of those very useful

customer service slips telling the DMT about this security flaw, so I'm sure it's

fixed by now. :D So don't get any ideas, my eager readers.

Anyways, back there, I managed to find a secret blueprint about a new 

racetrack called "The SuperPin". I'm not sure if it's going to be actually built

because this track was a mess of hairpins, like worse than my hair at the

Yule Ball, and there were crazy noxious fogs and traps worse than the maze

in the third challenge of the Triwizard Tournament when Harry Potter was

in it... I swear, if Jenna actually released this track, I'd be calling her the 

PURPLE Menace, but uh, purple is still better than pink. :D

Anyways, that was as big a detour I was able to find the time for before I had

to leg it back to the hangar and race back into the Ministry to find my team.
