Christmas is a time of carols and cringey songs. Along with our favorite wizarding bands, the muggle song "Last Christmas" by the English pop duo Wham! is popular amongst readers. Since released in 1984, covers have been made by numerous famous muggle singers. Click below to listen to the song!

Honeydukes Cardcon

There are many new things going on at my Hogwarts! We just celebrated Christmas, the New Year, and had fun in events such as "Twas the Weekend Before Christmas." Rather than focusing on all of the commotion, I decided to focus on a less known, but just as exciting event. The Honeydukes Cardcon! If you didn't know already, the Cardcon is where we can trade our favorite sweet - chocolate frog cards. There are booths where people can post if they have cards they want from a participant, in return for some other cards. In my opinion, it's a great way to expand your chocolate frog card collection.
I haven't done too much trading because I have precious ones that I'm keeping. Who knows when I'll need them? But me, being the curious person I am, have done some poking around here and there and noticed that there were some good cards in there. I also found that that there is a card auction as well, where you can donate cards and also win some in return.
Cardcon was founded when xSarahsan, the Honeydukes Manager pondered long and hard about how to create an event that could help students and alumni alike interact and get some chocolate frogs they're missing in order to complete their collection along the way. She came up with the great idea of a easier and more accessible trading event, where members can barter and smile their way to the extremely rare gold cards. After meeting with the Headmaster, the first Cardcon was held during the summer of Year 45.
