Sniffling Sneetches
vs Munching McFuzzes
This summer, there were some intriguing Quidditch games, including a game against three different teams!
To start off the summer Quidditch season, we have the Sniffling Snitches against the Munching McFuzzes. It is a beautiful, clear day, perfect Quidditch playing weather. LasRosas13, this games' referee, releases the quaffle and bludgers and the game begins.
Tessa (SS) swoops in and grabs the quaffle. She heads to the other side of the pitch as Mellsuili (SS) and artistwitch (MM) send their bludgers after Harmony203 (MM) and Tessa respectively.
Tessa dodges any attempts at stealing the quaffle as Melinda North (MM) and Miss_Lovegood (SS) send their bludgers after Tessa and Aeri Song (MM). Tessa shoots the quaffle, but is hit by a bludger before she can score. Drat!
The bludgers are now headed toward Ashftslipknot14 (SS) and StelladoraTonks (MM) Stella was hit by a bludger in Bludger Pong which left the hoops wide open for Tessa to score. Sniffling Sneetches 10-0!
Tessa grabs the quaffle as she returns back from the medic tent and races down the pitch. Tessa misses the shot, however, and the quaffle is caught by Rose Jean, however, a mishap on the pitch results in Rose and Tessa fighting to get control of the quaffle, sending it into freefall.
Tessa is once again hit by a bludger and heads back to the medic tent. The bludgers are redirected towards Ella and Claudia (SS). Rose grabs the quaffle and makes her way across the pitch. Ella hits her bludger after queerdraco (SS). Rose shoots the quaffle and… makes the shot!
The two teams are now tied. Rose quickly scoops up the quaffle again in hopes to make another goal. Before anything else can happen, the snitch is spotted and Claudia and Emilia Fox, the substitute seeker for the Munching McFuzzes, race to catch it! It's a tight race but Claudia pulls into the lead and catches the snitch. The Sniffling Sneetches win!
Bumbling Baboonas vs Vegetating Vipps vs Crouching Cindys
Onto our next game of the summer! This game is a three-team game on a beautiful day! This games' ref, Professor Memrah (Christian), releases the balls and the game begins.
Rainfall (BB) swoops in, grabs the quaffle and races down the pitch to one set of goals. Asphodel (VV) sends a bludger after MagicalDino, but before she is hit by it, Poppy gets sent it to substitute for her.
Mary dodges all attempts to steal the quaffle and arrives safely at the other end of the pitch. Before Mary shoots, both NevFawkks and jrossi (CC) get hit by bludgers. Now the bludgers are headed towards Asphodel, Mary, and Kartin Moon (CC). Mary shoots the quaffle and…the quaffle scores as both keepers are unable to protect their goals.
The quaffles are reset and the bludgers are now heading towards awesome_forever (VV), Mary (BB) and Arielle (CC). Mary manages to once again grab the quaffle and heads down to the other side of the pitch.
The bludgers take out Navi and head towards Mary, Jennifer, and Cheyenne2019 (VV). Mary tries to shoot, but before she can, she is taken out by a bludger sent after her by AnneliseWolfe (CC) as her beater, DaVioletReader, was a little too late to protect her. The bludgers are now headed towards Violet, Jean, and Liang Wei-Chou.
Jean is the one to pick up the quaffle this time and goes to the other side of the pitch to shoot. Before she can get there, Mary tackles her and steals the quaffle. She shoots and… scores since Nev can’t quite make the save.
Rae (VV) hits a bludger after Mary to stop her from scoring for the third time. Poppy picks up the quaffle now and tries to make the shot, but gets a little distracted and drops the quaffle.
The bludgers are now headed towards Rory Granger, Nev, and Jennifer. Poppy quickly picks the quaffle up to try again. Mary tackles her again and gains the quaffle. The bludgers are now headed towards Evie, Nev, and Lanie (BB). It seems like the beaters can't decide who they really want to hit.
Before Mary can get to the hoops, she drops the quaffle. But the snitch is spotted before the quaffle can be picked up. The seekers Zoe Evans (BB) Eowyn29 (VV) and Annelise, who is now in as a substitute for the Crouching Cindys' seeker, Evie Riddle, race after the snitch but Annelise pulls out ahead and the Crouching Cindys win!
Munching McFuzzes vs. The Vegetating Vipps
Next up in the Summer Year 43 Quidditch extravaganza, we have the Munching McFuzzes vs. the Vegetating Vipps. The day is very, very rainy, however, so I hope the players have their Imperivuses ready. Professor Christiana releases the balls and the rainy day game begins.
Rose Jean (MM) grabs the quaffle before anyone else can and makes her way to the other side of the pitch. This causes Asphodel to send a bludger after her that hits Rose and stops her from crossing the pitch. Emilia Fox (MM) grabs the quaffle after it's dropped and makes her way to the other side of the pitch.
The bludgers are now heading after Emilia and Cheyenne2019 (VV). Emilia makes it to the goal and shoots but is hit by a bludger before she can score. Now the bludgers are headed after Rose and Eowyn29 (VV) sent after them by Rae and artistwitch (MM). Rose grabs the ball out of free fall and makes her way to the goals. She keeps hold of the quaffle and tries to score.
NevFawkks can't block the attempt and the Munching McFuzzes score! Rose picks the quaffle back up after scoring and goes to attempt to shoot again. The bludgers are now headed towards Rae and Harmony203 (MM). Liang Wei-Chou (VV) tackles Rose and gets the quaffle from her. She shoots and scores since StelladoraTonks, the Munching McFuzzes' keeper, is nowhere to be found.
The snitch is spotted and the seekers, Aeri Song (MM), and Eowyn29 (VV) race to catch it. In the end, Becky catches the snitch and Vegetating Vipps win this game.
Sniffling Sneetches vs Bumbling Baboonas vs Crouching Cindys
Next up in the Summer Year 43 Quidditch saga, we have another three-team game with the Sniffling Sneetches, the Crouching Cindys, and the Bumbling Baboonas. There happens to be a blizzard going on during this game, however, so this should be interesting. Carmen releases the balls and the game begins!
The bludgers are headed after Claudia, Crystalink, and Zoe Evans. AnneliseWolfe (CC) tries to catch the quaffle, but Tessa (SS) is just a little quicker than her and catches it first.
The bludgers are aimed at Rory Granger, Katrin Moon, and Tessa by the team beaters DaVioletReader, Mellsuili, and Poppy. Tessa dodges all the other chasers, despite the efforts of Rainfall (BB). But! Before she can shoot, AnneliseWolfe steals the quaffle from her and makes her way to the other side of the pitch.
Anne shoots the quaffle at the goals, but it is blocked by Ashftslipknot14 (SS). AnneliseWolfe grabs the quaffle again but is sent to the Medic Tent with queerdraco and Rory Granger, sending the quaffle into free fall once again.
Disa swoops in and nabs the quaffle this time and is quickly attacked by the other chasers. Meanwhile, Tessa, Arielle, and Remus Shacklebolt, are all taken out by bludgers. It seems like the beaters have quite preoccupied. The unexpected blizzard in the middle of summer must be getting to them.
Disa gets past them and shoots, but before she can make the shot, the three seekers are off racing to catch the snitch! At the end of the tense race, Zoe Evans catches it first. The Bumbling Baboonas win!
Vegetating Vipps
vs Crouching Cindys
For the final game of the Summer Year 43 Quidditch adventure, we have the Vegetating Vipps vs. the Bumbling Baboonas. It is a beautiful day! Let us delay no further and start the game!
The bludgers are headed towards Rory Granger of the Bumbling Baboonas, and Rae of the Vegetating Vipps. Rainfall (BB) quickly grabs the quaffle, while a bludger is shot at her by Asphodel (VV).
DaVioletReader (BB) tries to save Rory Granger from the bludger, but is too late, sending Rory Granger to the Medic Tent. The bludger is now headed towards Crystalink (BB). Rainfall shoots the quaffle but is quickly taken out by a bludger sent after her by Asphodel.
NevFawkks, (VV) tries to prevent the quaffle from going into the goal but just barely misses. The Bumbling Baboonas scores!
Mary grabs the quaffle again and zooms down the pitch past all the other chasers. The bludgers are know headed after awesome_forever (VV) and Rainfall. Before Rainfall can shoot, she is sent to the Medic Tent by a bludger sent to her by Rae. Before the quaffle can be caught again, the snitch appears and Eowyn29 (VV) and Zoe Evans (BB) race to catch the snitch. Eowyn29 catches the snitch just before Zoe Evans can and the Vegetating Vipps win!
