Goodbye to Our Beloved Headmaster

After having been violently uprooted from their home on Zetaboards, the mH community had finally settled into their new home on Jcink. As another successful year on the new site was reaching its peak activity, spirits were high and with mH's lone Death Eater locked up safely in Azkaban, who would suspect tragedy to strike in the heart of the castle? Perhaps it was the Death Eater to blame, after all, the MLE's Department Head, awesome_forever, has not been seen in several months. Or perhaps, it was the absence of our ever strident advocate for the consumption and control of cheese, Marie Christine, which prompted the malevolent cheese spirits to attack our dear Headmaster.

As students enjoyed their interim leave, professors were relaxing in their quarters, quite glad to be rid of the hubbub that generally accompanied their over-energetic charges. Unfortunately, our dear headmaster relaxed too far. He naively joined a picnic as its 13th member and allowed the spirits a chance for their revenge. Luckily, Liam's penchant for Divination favoured him on this occasion, foreshadowing his doom by cheese through oneiromancy.

It is curious, though, that a figure in pink should feature in Liam's dream... After all, pink is a colour which traditionally represents femininity and love. As well, Liam's haste in declaring Memrah and Jess his successors hint at a suspicious undertaking. After all, Memrah is known for her desire to "Overthrow Liam", could she not, with her cunning Slytherin prowess and Gryffindor connections, not enact this plan through a masterful manipulation of cheese? Or could it not have been Jess, who was so quick to declare her innocence and assure the public that it was the Headmaster's insanity behind this so-called prophecy that foreshadowed his doom?

And yet, tragedy still struck at the end of this term, the Headmaster quickly ghosted before summer had even started in earnest. This is all happening a bit too quick for my taste. It is disconcerting, this hasty abandonment of administrative post. Liam has claimed that he will continue in Cuthbert Binns' shoes and teach History of Magic even as a ghost, but will he be evicted from the castle when he proves too knowledgeable of the castle's past? After all, there must be some secrets that our new Headmistress, Jess, would like to keep secret. Who better to expose them than an ancient Slytherin sorted in Year 7 with no risk of punishment now that the next great adventure of death has begun?

Keep an eye on the ghost of our Headmaster, my dear readers. It can not be foretold what terrible mishaps could occur should the two most powerful witches on mH desire chaos.
