Goodbye to Our Beloved Headmaster

Quibbler Quest:
by Rae
Summer Cat-astrophe

It was a normal summer’s day when this all started; well, as normal as summer gets when you run a camp for school-age wizards. I was making my way around the camp, just generally enjoying life when I realized my beloved cat, Felix, was nowhere to be found! Normally, he’s always underfoot and loves being out of the house, errr, camp cabin.
I asked around but it seemed no one had seen him all day. “How strange,” I murmured, thinking of where he could be. Determined to find him, I searched all over the place - summer camp, my house, the ministry, the castle. I was growing desperate! On the verge of tears, I realized I hadn’t searched the animal shop for Felix. I had found him curled up on top of records in the office before so maybe he was there again. With a turn of my heel, I disapparated and reappeared at Animal Attraction.
The store's windows were dark and there didn’t appear to be a single person inside. This was very weird as usually there were at least a few people placing pet food orders on any given day. With a shrug, I reached into my pocket to retrieve a key and put it into the lock. However, I need not have, as the door gave way when a gentle breeze passed. Now I was quite concerned. My cat missing, the shop abandoned but opened. Something was definitely wrong. I briefly considered calling the ministry to investigate. No, I told myself, there’s no need to involve them yet. If you find anything else you can let Navi know but until then it’s pointless.
Gathering my resolve, I crept quietly into the shop and ascended the stairs to the upstairs office area. I was halfway up the stairs when I heard a familiar voice. It was no other than Ella Granger! Had she simply come to do some inventory and forgotten to close the door behind her? Before I could move, I heard the most horrible sounds. A cat - my cat, Felix, was howling and Ella was laughing!
With a great breath, I rushed up the stairs and burst into the records room!
“Oh Rae! You gave me a fright,” Ella Granger exclaimed.
“What are you doing with Felix? I heard him howling,” I said, looking around for my cat.
“I found him pawing outside the door when I arrived to do some records. Look, he got a plastic bag tied around his neck and I was attempting to get it off of him.”
I looked to where Ella was pointing and sure enough, Felix’s head was stuck inside a plastic bag. The poor boy! We worked quickly to remove it and he was free in no time.
The mystery was solved and after checking to make sure Felix was okay, all was well during summer camp again.

Unnecessary Advice with Nicole
by Queen Nicole
After quite a long hiatus, I'm back and in form. Well, as form as Nicole can ever really get. Since I've taken quite a break, questions haven't cropped up, so I'm going to just share some advice... advice on how to get a new job! Cause, if you haven't heard, I recently got a new job (at the same company but a new role) and so I've got some fabulous tips and tricks that I think MIGHT help you nab that role you're seeking. So, without further fluff to make this story longer so my editor will accept it as a story, ( ) let's begin.
There are three key things you should have in your pocket for your application and hiring, including: charisma, a great smile, and confidence. Now, I really can't teach you how to be charismatic or have a great smile with confidence, BUT I can say, you just practice. When you want to get famous and be an actor, you practice your charisma in the mirror, of course. Talking hours upon hours endlessly staring into the mirror at yourself, checking out all your angles and practicing all the ways there are to smile is surely the way to get the job. If that doesn't work... pick up a book and read about a topic that you might get a job in. Book learning always comes in handy.
Once you've done that, now you're ready for a makeover. Head on over to your closet, or dresser, or chest of clothing and open it up. Then your room will magically transform into another room and you'll get to pick whatever clothes you want out of it! You'll even get a 360 view of what you'll look like in the outfit. You may even want to change your hair, haircut, and makeup! Once you're done, just close the drawer... and voilà! Makeover! (There is a catch to this, you might be semi-confused about who you are if you change TOO much. So, be cautious with such great power.)
The last thing you'll need to snag the job is a computer. Typing into your laptop computer a few times will bring up a job listing that you'll match your skills to (remember the charisma you practiced earlier? It'll come in handy). If you find a job that you're interested in but don't have the skills, that's OK, most skills can be learned from a book. Say you want to be a chef, go ahead and find a cooking book, read it, and your skills will advance so you can get that job. It's so easy! Once your skills are perfect, you just apply and get accepted.
And that... is how you get a new job! Sure, it does look vaguely familiar if you've ever played The Sims, but isn't the Sims real life? If you don't want more of these insane diatribes, hit me up at the Quibbler offices and drop your questions. If you're shy, send 'em to me via PM... I'm always happy to give you the best advice for which you never asked.
