One of the many jobs Bryce held during his time at myHogwarts was the Head of Department of Magical Games and Sports post. The man behind many revolutions on mH in terms of Sports himself did not begin playing Quidditch until Year 23 which was his fourth year!
Bryce (known as Grawp back then) started off his Quidditch Career as Seeker for the Hufflepuff Quidditch Team in place of their veteran seeker, Ella Granger, in their first match against Gryffindor. Things, however, did not get off to a flying start as Bryce wasn’t able to catch the snitch before the Gryffindor Seeker. Ella made an appearance as the seeker in the second match which was against Slytherin with Bryce as a reserve but unfortunately, Hufflepuff was faced with another defeat. In the third match, Bryce was appointed Seeker, probably with Hufflepuff hoping to turn their luck and it worked, as he managed to beat Linda to the snitch this time with Hufflepuff’s only win of the season.
After a successful end to the Year 23 season, Bryce came back to Year 24 as the chaser but his success streak was unable to continue this year where he was appointed chaser as his teammates, Cass and Noelle, were extremely quick and did not let him even get near the quaffle!
He found his true calling in Year 25 when he was appointed beater for the Hufflepuff team. He continued with his position in Year 26, which was his last year, as well! Bryce was quite the master of swinging his bat, managing to get to the bludger before it hit any of his team members! In my investigation, I didn’t even find a single match with him as beater where he had posted less than 4 times! Bryce was an extremely quick beater, managing to get everything right on the Quidditch Pitch in the last two years of his school life. His wonderful beating also got him the Bold Beater badge!
His Quidditch career continued into his Of-Age life as well where he played Chaser and Beater for Team Drunken Ducks before finally retiring his broomstick at the end of Year 29!
Bryce might have stopped playing Quidditch but his input and work in the Department of Magical Games and Sports have forged a new identity for many sports, not just Quidditch and he will always be remembered for his contribution to the site.

HoHs that sported different colors as Heads and Students

Through the years of mH, Admin have constantly been changing position. From HoH to Deputy Headmaster, to Student Liaison and even Headmaster, many of the admin have held more than one position over the years. However this article is going to be about those heading Hogwarts Houses.
Becoming a Head of House is the dream of many students, who wish to some day lead the House they spend their student years in. However, although one might become a HoH, no one can guarantee they are going to be Heading the House they initially wish to. Here we have for you a list of HoHs that headed a different House than the one they were Sorted into.
GRYFFINDOR HoHs:
Gryffindor has had 7 different Heads through the years. Surprisingly only one of them was ever a student in the House, Sharpie, with most of its Heads to date being former Slytherins!
LilyMalfoy: Lily Malfoy was one of the first ever members of mH, joining in Year 1. She became Gryffindor HoH in Year 5, despite being sorted into Slytherin.
Natters: Natters replaced LilyMalfoy the very next year, Year 6 as the Gryffindor HoH. She too was Sorted into Slytherin in Year 3.
Storm:Natters kept her position for only one year and was replaced by Storm in Year 7. Storm had been Sorted alongside LilyMalfoy, being a Hufflepuff in his student years.
HPitty23 (aka Marli): Marli took up the position of Gryffindor HoH in Year 19 and remained in that position for 14 mH years, before retiring in Year 32. She was Sorted into Slytherin.
L'Emeraude (aka Cass): Taking up the position after Marli is Cass, who still serves as Gryffindor HoH to this day! Cass is the second former Hufflepuff to head the House of Lions.
HUFFLEPUFF HoHs:
Hufflepuff can be proud for being the only House who was Headed only by members who sported the Black or Gold during their years as students. Well, that was before the Death of Bryce anyway. However, it should also be noted that Hufflepuff HoHs have the highest death rate, with 5 out of the 7 being Ghosted! Many speculate that a Curse is cast upon the place of the Hufflepuff HoH!
Theta Holmes (aka Kathleen): Becoming Hufflepuff HoH only a week ago, Kathleen breaks the record Hufflepuff held until now as she was not a Badger but a Snake during her student years.
RAVENCLAW HoHs:
Ravenclaw is Headed mainly by people who sported blued during their school years, with only one exception. There have been 5 Ravenclaw Heads to this day.
Sazlizard: Sazlizard is the only non-Ravenclaw to ever Head the House of the Eagles. He held his position for a single year, Year 5, at the end of which he was killed at a broom collision with Gryffindor's LilyMalfoy.
SLYTHERIN HoHs
Slytherin holds the record for the longest running HoH, Tom Riddle aka Liam aka Our Headmaster who served as the Head for 17 mH years! Much like Ravenclaw, Slytherin has had 5 different Heads through the years. Also like Ravenclaw, only one of them was not a Slytherin themselves when a student and that is...
Bryce: Bryce, a former Hufflepuff, is the only person to date to have Headed more than one House! The first of the two he Houses he Headed, Slytherin was not the House of his school years, as he was a Hufflepuff.
So there you have it. Keep in mind however that most of this people admit that they have come to love both of the Houses equally. After all, being a HoH is a great honor and the House you are heading shouldn't matter to anyone, as long as it makes them proud!
An Ode to Grawp

I first knew Bryce as Grawp, way back in Year 21. I didn’t see him around much owing to timezones, and maybe he was even a little inactive at the time. All I remember about him from Year 21 was that I found his name to be a funny choice and a unique one. I didn’t even know his real name.
When I came back in Year 35 and saw a Bryce on the homepage, I definitely didn’t remember him (owing to the fact that I didn’t know his name). However, on a tiny bit of stalking, I figured out that he was the same Grawp, whose username had somehow stayed with me when I had forgotten so many others over the years, despite never having interacted with him.
All I know of Bryce is what I know from his stories. They tell you of the prankster who pulled off a Justin Bieber concert in Lara’s office. They tell you of a responsible person with all the qualities to become a prefect and head boy. They tell you of the salesman who raked in a ton of money with his brain. They tell you of a person who never gave up, no matter what. They tell you off a person who knows how to get the job done. And they tell you of a person who is truly loving with all his heart, even if his love is directed towards magical creatures. They tell you of a man who has impacted mH in more ways than one and who will always remain a part of this site.
Which pretty much sums up Bryce, in my opinion. You may have been the best of friends with him, or like me may have never interacted with him at all. For 15 mH years, Bryce has played a major role, even if he hasn’t affected everyone personally. He has gone from shy to one of the most active members of the site in this journey of his and leaves us with much to learn from him.
Here’s to the giant with a lot of stories to tell!
